The service

Support that meets people where the system is hardest

Welfare work is rarely one appointment. It is a benefits question that turns into a housing question, an appeal that needs evidence gathering, a person who will not engage with a letter but will talk to someone in the room. Servicebird matches that work to professionals whose vetting reflects who they will be sitting with.

  • Welfare and benefits supportHelping people understand entitlement, complete claims and respond to decisions.
  • DWP-related supportSupport around DWP processes, appointments, assessments and correspondence.
  • Community supportPractical support delivered in community settings rather than behind a desk.
  • Vulnerable-person supportProfessionals vetted for work with adults and families at risk.
  • Refugee and migrant supportSupport for people navigating unfamiliar systems, often alongside language support.

How it runs

From requirement to delivery

Every assignment follows the same four stages through the Servicebird platform, whatever the service.

  1. 01 REQUEST The organisation submits a requirement — service, location, date and time, and any specialist need.
  2. 02 MATCH Servicebird identifies suitable compliant professionals on requirement, location, availability and specialism.
  3. 03 ACCEPT A suitable professional accepts the assignment through the platform.
  4. 04 DELIVER The service is delivered and managed through the Servicebird platform.

Common questions

Before you book

When will this service be available?

Welfare Support is in the expanding service pipeline. The platform, matching engine and compliance layer are already built — this service is being onboarded onto them. Register your interest and we will contact you as it opens.

Will professionals be vetted for safeguarding?

Yes. Vetting is matched to the service being undertaken, and welfare work involving vulnerable adults and families carries the checks that setting requires.

Can this be combined with interpretation?

Yes. Translation and interpretation is already live, and welfare support frequently runs alongside it for refugee and migrant clients.
