Servicebird is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in its own operations and throughout its supply chain, including the network of Freelancer professionals engaged through the platform.
6.1 Our commitment
- We carry out identity and right-to-work checks on Freelancer professionals prior to onboarding.
- We operate a vetting and compliance process, including DBS checks where relevant to the service being provided.
- We expect all Requester organisations and suppliers we work with to uphold equivalent standards in relation to modern slavery and human trafficking.
- We provide a channel — see our Complaints/Feedback section above — for any concerns about labour exploitation or trafficking to be raised confidentially.
6.2 Review
This voluntary statement is reviewed annually by the Board of Directors and updated to reflect Servicebird’s growth, including preparation of a formal statutory statement should turnover reach the £36 million threshold set out in the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
